Aladdin The Musical

After enjoying huge success in Broadway, Disney Theatrical production, Aladdin The Musical is creating quite a stir in London Westend and running with packed houses at the magnificent Prince Edward Theatre. The show made its official debut on 20 March 2014 after previews from 26 February 2014 and enjoyed an immensely successful run on Broadway at the New Amsterdam Theatre.

The role of Genie will be portrayed by the Broadway cast member Trevor Dion Nicholas. Heart touching music by Alan Menken, penned by Howard Ashman, Tim Rice & Chad Beguelin, and a book by Chad Beguelin, the show is a complete audio visual treat for theatre lovers. Adapted from the 1992 blockbuster hit 1992 animated Disney film of the same name, the spectacular production features some of the songs from the film including "Friend Like Me", "Prince Ali" and the Oscar and Grammy award-winning "A Whole New World", along with new songs written specifically for the stage.

Come and experience the world of magic and thrill with Aladdin The Musical. The sensational London show is about the lovable ‘diamond in the rough’ and his adventures in Agrabah. The Tony Award-nominated musical revolves around Aladdin and his friends, Kassim, Omar and Babkak. The story beautifully portrays their survival on the mean streets beyond the palace walls where the Princess Jasmine is enclosed. The love bonding between Aladdin and Jasmine after a chance meet is not liked by the villainous Grand Vizier, Jafar. This made him angry and he wants Jasmine as well as the throne for himself.

Aladdin The musical is a wild Arabian adventure featuring roller coaster ride full of flying carpets, caves of treasure and a tap-dancing genie. The show is full of wonderful music and superb dance numbers. Under the spectacular direction of The Book of Mormon's fame director Casey Nicholaw, the London show is certainly beyond the original film.

The casting of Aladdin The Musical includes Matthew Croke of Wicked, Chicago, Grease fame as Aladdin, Jade Ewen of In the Heights as Princess Jasmine, Broadway's Trevor Dion Nicholas as Genie, Don Gallagher as Jafar, Nick Cavaliere as Iago, Irvine Iqbal as Sultan, Leon Craig as Babkak, Miles Barrow as Omar and Daniel de Bourg as Kassim.
