The magnificent Her Majesty’s Theatre is located at 57 Haymarket, London, SW1Y 4QL positioned amidst London’s Theatreland near Piccadilly Circus and on Haymarket which leads down to Trafalgar Square. The venue is immensely popular amongst the theatre lovers and locals, as there are huge range of hotels, restaurants and shops close to the theatre. The Grade II listed Her Majesty’s Theatre dates back to 1705, whereas the current building has been standing here since 1897. With the change of the monarch, the name of the theatre also changes. In the long history of the magnificent theatre, it has hosted some opera to drama. Some of the famous shows hosted are George Bernard Shaw’s Pygmalion and Chu Chin Chow by Oscar Asche and works of playwrights such as J. B. Priestly, Noel Coward and J. M. Synge. Some other popular productions hosted are Follow the Girls, West Side Story, Fiddler on the Roof and Jeeves. The theatre is currently running The Phantom of the Opera since 1986.
